THE GUADIANA HYDROGRAPHIC CONFEDERATION PARTICIPATES IN THE EUROPEAN COOPERATION DAY 2020
As part of the celebrations of the European Cooperation Day 2020, the Guadiana River Basin Authority joins the tree planting events that are planned in Eurocities along the Spanish-Portuguese border.
The Confederation, BP of the project POCTEP ACECA, will plant 30 trees on September 30, as a symbol of the 30 years of Interreg, which will be fulfilled in 2020.
The act is part of the environmental restoration of a degraded space on the banks of the Guadiana River, near the city of Badajoz, called “Las Bardocas-Crispitas”.
A plantation of 30 units of trees and bushes of different native species will be carried out. This process consists of introducing plant species to reduce, mitigate and even reverse, the damage caused in the physical environment. In this way, the aim is to recover as much as possible the structure, functions, diversity and dynamics of the original ecosystem.
